We are thrilled to have you join us in Lagos, Nigeria for the  West Africa Deal Summit (WADS 2024). We understand the importance of early preparation, which is why we are sharing this vital information on flights, visa and accommodation that will ensure you have a memorable experience during your visit.

Event Venue

The summit will be held at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Lagos Nigeria.

 

The Civic Centre is conveniently located just 30 KM from Muritala Mohammed International Airport with easy access by taxi from the airport. The centre offers a breathtaking waterfront view from its three banqueting halls.

Accomodation

There are several hotels in close proximity to the conference venue. Some provide astonishing views of the lagoon and are located in the centre of Victoria Island, Lagos. Here are a few options you should consider booking ahead of your visit. 

Lagos Continental Hotel

This hotel is offering participants a SPECIAL RATE of  $93 per night. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Civic Centre, the venue of the summit.

Oriental Hotel

The hotel has exhilarating views of both the bustling city of Lagos and the lagoon. The hotel is 2.8-kilometre or 7-minute drive from the summit venue.

Guidance on travel and visa

Available Flights to Nigeria

Please note that the West Africa Deal Summit will take place on the 12th and 13th of November 2024. We advise that you book your flight ahead of time and schedule your arrival in Lagos, Nigeria, for November  11, 2024. We recommend that you catch the Lagos-bound early flight from your respective countries to have enough rest before the conference begins. 

Visa for Africans

ECOWAS member countries, do not require a visa for entry to Nigeria but are required to present a passport valid for 6 months at the Port of Entry. 

Visa for Foreign Nationals and non-ECOWAS nationals

Please note that the visa application must be done early, at least 3 months before the event.  For non-West African passport holders, there are two (2) visa options via the Nigerian High Commission or Visa on Arrival. Foreign nationals on a visit to Nigeria are required to apply for an e-visa or Visa on Arrival (VoA). We advise that you begin the process here

Kindly contact toladele@impactinvestorsfoundation.org in case you need an invitation letter for your visa application. The Visa on Arrival costs about USD$80.

For the airport pickup, drop-off as well as transport to different sites, In Nigeria, we have different ride-hailing services, which include :

Weather:
The weather in Lagos, Nigeria during November is typically warm and humid. The average daytime temperature is expected to range from 23.7 to 32.0°C. It is expected that it will rain on some days. Please include lightweight, breathable clothing as well as water-resistant shoes and outfits.

Currency:
The currency used in Nigeria is the Naira. We recommend that you exchange your currency at the airport once you arrive in Lagos.
