Bankole Oloruntoba

Bankole Oloruntoba is the CEO of the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center (NCIC), a World Bank-supported initiative in partnership with the Nigerian government to promote a green economy. Under his leadership, NCIC has incubated over 60 green ventures, seed-funded 24 with $240,000, and collaborated with organizations like Coca-Cola Foundation and GIZ to implement green economy projects worth over $3 million. He holds a BSc in Economics from ABU Zaria, an MBA from Business School Netherlands, and an executive certificate from Lagos Business School. Bankole is also the Honorary Consul to Finland in Lagos and has been instrumental in building Nigeria’s startup ecosystem, having helped establish over 15 innovation hubs. As a thought leader in climate-focused startups and entrepreneurship in West Africa, he advises several organizations and businesses on innovation, sustainability, and ecosystem development. Bankole is known for his expertise in green innovation program design, financing, and startup development. He is a highly regarded speaker, convergence coordinator, and strategic partnership builder in the innovation and business space.
